King Trivia on Zoom brings the pub quiz experience into your home! You don’t even need to get out of those Rick and Morty pajamas you’ve been wearing for three days (no judgement here). The game has 4 fantastic rounds of trivia to break up your latest Netflix binge and activate some different parts of your brain. After all, you need to impress someone with your knowledge of Game of Thrones, Right Said Fred songs, and the names of every Marvel super villain.
The Rules
- Don’t cheat. Seriously. Don’t be THAT person.
- No shouting out the answers or writing the answers in the chat.
- The Quizmaster’s ruling is final.
Also, less of a rule and more of a common courtesy: Please be respectful of others. Again, don’t be THAT person.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
How Does This Zoom Thing Work?
If you haven’t used Zoom before, you can download it here. This platform will allow you to see and hear your Quizmaster, as well as interact with your teammates. On the day of your game, we will send you a link that should open zoom and take you right to the meeting!
If you haven’t already, please make sure to update your version of Zoom to the latest version. If you need help updating Zoom, check out this short, but excellent guide.
You will need to log into Zoom before you can join the game. Once you are in the Zoom meeting, there will be a short setup time while we ensure that everyone is on the correct team. So make sure to log in early so that we can get the game started on time!
-
Are There Prizes?
While there are no direct prizes for the game, we do have a Weekly Raffle! Every time you play King Trivia on Zoom, your team will be entered into the weekly raffle. If you win, your team will be entered twice.
-
How Do I Submit My Answers?
Once you are in the game, we will provide you with a link to the answer sheet you can use to submit answers for your team.
-
How Do You Monitor Cheating?
Proprietary anti-cheating software embedded in the minds of all King Trivia players ensures they will remain honest and banishes all temptation to cheat.
But just in case that fails, we have also, through careful evaluation, limited the amount of downtime during the game so that players will have a limited time to debate, discuss and submit their answers. This, combined with our continued interaction with teams, really limits the opportunity for cheating.
-
How Long is The Game?
The game is about an hour long from start to finish. You should enter the Zoom link 10-15 minutes before the start of the game to make sure you’re all set up before the game starts.
-
What Does it Cost to Play?
We charge per device used to connect to the game, but the specific cost may vary depending on the event, so check out our ticket page for pricing details.
-
Is There a Team Size Limit?
Due to technical limitations, we are limiting team size to 10 players for all Zoom games.
-
Do I Need to Pick My Teammates in Advance?
When purchasing your team ticket, we will ask you for the email addresses of your teammates so that they can receive the Zoom link as well. Knowing who the players are in advance also helps get the game started on time and running smoothly.
That being said, if you don’t have the email address for a teammate, you can still purchase a seat for them and leave the email field blank. Once you’ve got their email address, it can be added on to your ticket.
-
I Need to Add/Remove/Change Something on My Team Ticket! How Do I Do That?
To make adjustments to your team ticket, send an email to contact@kingtrivia.com at least 12 hours before your game. In your email, make sure to include your team name and/or order number as well as the specific changes you want to make.
-
What if I’m Late? Can I Still Play?
Yes, but there will be a delay getting you added and you will start from the point you enter the game. We can’t go back and review any rounds or questions you may have missed due to a late arrival.
-
Can I Change My Team Name?
Unfortunately, no. Once you register for the game, the team name is set and cannot be changed.
-
Can I get a refund?
Please email contact@kingtrivia.com for refund requests or any other questions.
