QUIZ RECAP

All right, let's just say right off the bat: The Bar got 98 points this week. That's five successful doubles. Five. As employees of the establishment, The Bar cannot win prizes -- but, wow. Just wow.

That meant first place went to the also high-scoring Test Tickles who scored themselves 86 total points! Their four successful doubles put them right behind The Bar. In second was One More Then We'll Go with 73 points and three successful doubles. In third came We Brought Our Ringer..., who scored steady high points and only doubled down in the last round. Well done, teams.

Now excuse me while I go unironically listen to some Steve Martin bluegrass. I'm not kidding, it's genuinely good stuff, folks.

If you included the teams who jumped in late, we ended this week's Round 7 with 23 answer sheets. I've never had to score so fast in my life. Brouwerij West rules.

Out of that sea of competition, it was The Test Tickles this week who emerged victorious with 68 points! They had back-to-back 20-point doubles in Rounds 5 and 6, which propelled them to that first prize. Behind them was Counter Intelligence, who were one answer off from getting that same back-to-back double boost. In third came WakandaForever, the only other team (out of quite a few attempts) to get that successful Round 6 20-point double. Well done, all contenders!

I had to miss last week's game, and even though it was only two weeks since I'd seen all you trivians, coming back felt like coming home. (Does trivians work? I still like it.)

TEACHERS OUT ON A SCHOOL NIGHT went to THE BAR when it got AWK WARD when HOT KARL shouted, "THAT'S A TASTY BURGER!" So, GOLDILOCKS AND THE THREE BEARS went to the HABERDASH for some COUNTER INTELLIGENCE! She wanted to go to THE CLASH AT DEMONHEAD in her RAINBOWS AND AIR VEHICLES but TURD FERGUSON gave her a DOUBLE WHAMMY and she got TEST TICKLES from the MICHAGANDERS instead. All in all, not a bad night.
