QUIZ RECAP

The return of the World renowned paper airplane competition stole the show tonight with the Laser Dolphins not only successfully piloting the best airplane, but only taking home 1st place!

Couple that with a frustratingly tough Guess Who Round where we all knew his face but could not come with the names James Spader, and you can see why we all had a blast.

How in the world did the quiz writers find a way to connect Cher, Fernando Valenzuela, & Pierce Brosnan?!?! Big props for the find the connection round tonight.

Man amazing game tonight was capped off by HUGE point swings in Round 6 thanks to plenty of '80's music buffs.

The top 3 teams tonight were each separated by only 1 point!

QUIZ RECAP

An awesome night subbing in at Pali Wine Co.! We had a great number of difficult questions as well as three first time teams (including some who pre-registered for those two bonus points!).

Everybody stayed pretty consistent throughout the night in terms of placement, but it still stayed close through several rounds! We had great guesses at the theme for Round 5, including "Nothing" from Stupid FC and "Two Words" from Free Wine on Me...both of which were oh so close.

Everybody got to celebrate Stupid FC for figuring out the 2-point clue for Starbucks in Round 4! When you get down to a coffee shop opening in Seattle whose name begins with an "S"...it's worth celebrating when you get the answer right.

The classic paper airplane drinking round made a comeback...to mediocre results that everyone got a great laugh at since none of the six paper airplanes made it more than three feet from the starting line. Still, Jerk Back and Forth came away with the less-than-impressive win!

Jerk Back and Forth also won the evening, but it came down to a tiebreaker between Los Tacos Locos and Mighty Munchkins...with the returning Munchkins taking home the second place prize. Los Tacos Locos made it into third place and, even though they yelled at me for "making them ashamed" every time I came over to their table throughout the night, I got to bring over a gift certificate this time, so all's well that ends well!
