QUIZ RECAP

After a Robbie Burns induced hiatus, we were back at it for trivia Tuesday- Pobody's Nerfect lost the tiebreaker to O'Trivia Newton John to take third, and newcomers Rez Dogs cleaned house with a large lead, doubly impressive in that they were a two person team. Also included in the pictures are drinking round winners, the Flux Capacitors, who won a four way tiebreaker after naming 6 cryptids for a cryptozoology themed drinking round.

A chill was in the air, and the millionth presidential debate was on tv, but the trivia faithful were warm and in prime shape in the Tam O'Shanter. The night's drinking round, asking teams to name as many sports appearing in the 2020 Summer Olympic Games as they could, was won by the General Washingtons by a small margin. The margin was even smaller between them and Bandur Wagon for second place in the game -- in fact it came down to a tie, which the Washingtons won. Joel & the Butts, though, coolly strutted their stuff into first with a double in the final round.

There is no trivia next Tuesday due to Tam's Robert Burns Dinner. In place of questions, answers, and beer will be poetry, haggis, and...beer! Worry not, though, for after the Ploughman Poet has had his due we will be back for more King Trivia on January 28th!

The first night of trivia in the brand-spanking-new decade saw new teams and old on the field of competition...aka the bar. O'Trivia Newton John (or O'Trivia Mute-on Bomb/O'Trivia Shoot Your Mom etc.) caught on quickly to the drinking round that allowed teams to use their phones to find the requested information. Even without the power of the internet, they had the mettle to finish second place overall, ahead of Party of 5 and just two points below winners the General Washingtons.
