Teams put their trivia knowledge to the test on Tuesday night, and it was a very competitive game. Quiz In Your Pants and Concentration Champs got perfect scores in the General Knowledge Round, but didn't take the risk to double. The Grains Of Salt did take that chance in Round 2, and earned themselves 16 points and the lead.
California/Georgia Line doubled in Round 3. This got them to second place, with 24 points. At this point, Charles Sucks was frustrated with their poor performance and last place status. They offered to trade a player (presumably Charles) with another team, but didn't have any takers. For the Guess Who Round a lot of teams got 10 points by guessing Ken Jeong. Other teams got thrown off by the doctor clue and immediately guessed Dr. Drew, losing themselves a point. RAD doubled in Round 5, getting them to a tied third place.
Round 6 was surprising, because every team got all the answers right! They all doubled, except for Grains of Salt, which proved to be a costly mistake. For Round 7, Charles Sucks doubled and won the game with a whopping 75 points! Most other teams tried to double, but failed. We had two teams tied for second place, so we went to a tie breaker. The two teams had to guess the amount of eggs in the world's largest omelette. Both teams guessed extremely low numbers, but RAD was closest, beating Quiz In Your Pants, and putting them in the money.
Thanks to all the teams for a playing such an exciting game, and I hope to see you next week!

We had a fun, intimate crowd at the Local! Tonight's gameplay was a bit unconventional--we started with round 2. From there we went back to the typical order of events.
Shout out to White Tigers, who won the drinking round with a joke that was appropriate for their kiddos and involved acting it out!
Another shout out--everyone got the Guess Who? correctly, but big props to Nachos, who got it on the first try.
Thanks everyone for coming!

It was an absolute blast filling in as Quizmaster tonight. We had a great, energetic crowd who were all ready to duke it out in a battle of trivia wits. Quiz In Your Pants came out strong in the General Knowledge Round by doubling their score for 12 points. The Picture Round proved to be challenging for most teams. They had to identify the film adaptations of William Shakespeare (or Billy Shakes as I call him). None of them guessed correctly for Henry V, because the histories get no respect.
Hamiltonians tried to reach the head of the pack in Round 3 with a double or nothing, but they couldn't pull it off. Most teams did pretty well in the Guess Who Round. Twinkie Time, Tater Tots, and Quiz In Your Pants all earned 8 points, with all but one of the other teams getting a respectable 6 points. Unfortunately Left Right Center turned in a wrong answer and losing a point.
The Stars and Left Right Center successfully double in the Find The Connection Round, with the former taking first place by just one point! Not to be outdone, Tater Tots tried to double in Round 6. However, they missed a single question and earned no points for the round.
Heading into the final round, The Stars and Quiz In Your Pants were tied at 46 points a piece. They would decide the winner by naming sports teams from the lonestar state, Texas. The Stars were able to name one more team and walked away with the win.
Thank you to all the teams for coming out; you were all absolutely wonderful, and I look forward to seeing you at another game!
