QUIZ RECAP

We had another fun and exciting game of King Trivia tonight at Chapter 1!! 5 teams all fought the good fight to see who would be the most smartest. Actually, one team didn't fight the good fight cause they were cheating so they had to forfeit. And another team tried to answer a few rounds but unfortunately alcohol doesn't make you smarter so they just petered away.

So that left THREE teams to fight the good fight. And they did! Lindsey a/k/a "PP!" a/k/a the kick-ass server who always plays a great game as she serves up Chapter One's incredible food and drink came in THIRD.

"Charlene's Angels" was a super fun birthday group who were all celebrating Charlene's birthday. They had no idea they were walking into a trivia night but decided to give it a shot. Turned out this birthday gal has some pretty smart friends because they managed to correctly answer their way to SECOND place.

"The Scrubs" came in FIRST place which was kind of a feat since they started late. But they really picked up points as the rounds went on. Congrats to everyone who played except those who cheated. Remember, cheating only works if you're president! See yous next week!!

QUIZ RECAP

Move over Thursday night football, it's all about Thursday night trivia at Chapter One! Oh what a night!!!

All night it was a tied game between our loyal registered teams, The Lord Chamberlain's Men and The Mutants Over at Table 9. That all changed at the final round with Morgan Freeman's top domestic grossing films. The Mutants Over at Table 9 beat them out by 1 point!!! They came in first place followed by Lord Chamberlain's Men. (Shocking fun fact about Morgan Freeman: Shawshank Redemption is not one of his 12 highest grossing films... say what!!!)

We had some strong newbie teams out tonight with their game faces and funnies on! One of the newbie teams, The Killers, also became an official registered team... welcome to the King Trivia family! And never mind that The Zottiessss thought Mikhail Baryshnikov was James Bond, they had a lot of heart and kept us amused all night with their answers 😀

One of the newbie teams, Naughty Hotties, impressed us during the drinking round with their football team knowledge. In 2 minutes time, they were able to name 21 football teams in alphabetical order by city and team name! They definitely earned their round of shots!

Funny answers, new fun facts, and fun French fruit words throughout the night! I came away with lots of laughs and my new favorite word- l'ananas (English translation- pineapple)!

We only had a few teams at the very beginning of our trivia match but as soon as Round 1 kicked into gear, a couple more teams joined. We had 7 incredible teams compete to see who was the most smartest.

"We Have a Babysitter for the Night" not only had one of the most fun names of the evening but they also played a strong game as did two of our returning favorite teams, "PP!" and "Oompa Lumpia." I also really enjoyed the heart and spirit of a new team, "Overseas Lovers." But in the end, there can only be ONE winner. Coming in THIRD place was yet another returning favorite who ran the board MOST of the night but got a "nothin" on their Round 6 handout allowing some other teams to catch up. One such team who came in SECOND was, "The McHotterson Tattoos" and their impressive answer skillz. But the team that joined late and didn't let that slow em down as they raced to FIRST was "genKP" who ALSO won the DRINKING round because they sucked the best! Another enjoyable night of trivia at Chapter 1 is in the books!
