About Casey's Irish Bar & Grille

Originally built in 1916 as a general store and Turkish bath house, Casey’s Irish Pub opened in 1969 before being annexed into Cedd Moses’ 213 Hospitality group in 2007. The underground pub, set in one of Central Downtown Los Angeles’ only single-story buildings, serves a variety of purposes, acting as a restaurant by day and a casual bar spot at night. The full bar, highlighted different varieties of whiskey, is accompanied by a food menu offering both traditional Irish dishes as well as sports-bar staples like wings, burgers and sandwiches. The 10,000-square-foot space is surrounded by photos of athletes and features an outdoor patio, a dart room, billiards, ping-pong, multiple TVs, and several reception rooms for private parties. In addition, its performance stage offers live entertainment such as musical performances, comedy routines, and trivia.

Another thrilling week of Pub Trivia downtown downstairs at Casey's Irish Grille. After weeks of playing bridesmaid, Better Late Than Pregnant finally lands atop the leaderboard with 66 points, proving once again that the cream always rises to the top... but then again, so does soap scum.  And we all learned that the New Mexico / Nevada border does not need protection... because it does not exist.

The opening week of NFL action dovetailed with the return of Pub Trivia every Monday night at Casey's on September 12th.  But unlike the LA Rams, these teams put up plenty of points.  The top two teams had the same score in virtually every round, but a slight uptick in film knowledge pushed TAKE NO QUIZNERS into the top slot. And we all learned from Sweet Home Alabama it's okay to bring a baby. To a bar.

The end of August brought out the biggest battle of the summer at Casey's Pub Trivia Monday, August 29th.  SAVED BY THE WELL had a perfect score through four rounds, but let off the gas just enough as EAT ME, I'M A DANISH doubled the last two rounds successfully to steal a 2 point victory.  We also mourned the loss of Gene Wilder and learned that William Henry Harrison should really have worn a thicker coat.
