About Hop Merchants Bottle Shop & Taproom

Hop Merchants Bottle Shop & Taproom is a craft beer bottle shop and tasting room. We offer 16 rotating taps of Los Angeles-area beer as well as a wide variety of bottles and cans from your favorite independent breweries, which you can purchase to go or to enjoy in-house (with $1.50 corkage).  We also have an open food policy, meaning outside food is welcome and delivery is even encouraged. It's all good!

Located in the NoHo Arts District of North Hollywood, California, our mission is to channel our passion for great beer, community, and create a fun, chill atmosphere for people to hang, drink, shop and debate the deeper mysteries of life...such as who would win in a fistfight between Batman and Captain America? What's the difference between partly cloudy and partly sunny?  If the Zombie Apocalypse started today, what would be your weapon of choice?  Why are there no such thing as B batteries?  If humans evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys?

The questions this week were especially challenging and our team's were feeling it. We only had 3 successful "double downs!" But the teams pulled together and we all had a great time testing our trivia, drinking beer and humming along to throwback pop music.

Things were a little quieter around Hop Merchants but the competition remained the same. Our spellers were tested during the find the connection round and round 6 combined two big categories of trivia - film and sports! The Keg opted to take their pic as curlers this week. We may have to do more themed pictures in the future!

There was something for everyone last night at Hop Merchants! From sports to musicals, teams were tested. Our find the connection round was particularly fun and had our winners shouting "Jumanji, Jumanji, Jumanji!" It was the only way to secure their gift cards.
