About Hop Merchants Bottle Shop & Taproom

Hop Merchants Bottle Shop & Taproom is a craft beer bottle shop and tasting room. We offer 16 rotating taps of Los Angeles-area beer as well as a wide variety of bottles and cans from your favorite independent breweries, which you can purchase to go or to enjoy in-house (with $1.50 corkage).  We also have an open food policy, meaning outside food is welcome and delivery is even encouraged. It's all good!

Located in the NoHo Arts District of North Hollywood, California, our mission is to channel our passion for great beer, community, and create a fun, chill atmosphere for people to hang, drink, shop and debate the deeper mysteries of life...such as who would win in a fistfight between Batman and Captain America? What's the difference between partly cloudy and partly sunny?  If the Zombie Apocalypse started today, what would be your weapon of choice?  Why are there no such thing as B batteries?  If humans evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys?

On Thanksgiving Eve, we had an all-things Thanksgiving quiz. It was a turkey trot for the brain! Our winners for the evening were able to double down several times! We missed a few of our regulars but had a grand old time learning more about Charlie Brown and which artist sings a song with Thank You in the title.

I know I'm thankful to host at Hop Merchants and for the great teams and bartenders we have there!

We had a slightly smaller crowd at Hop Merchants last night but the competition was still high. Things got a little saucy during round 6 and bartenders Logan and Christian crushed it. They actually tied for first place but didn't claim a gift card. 😉 Future teams looking for help in the future may just need to turn to the bar!

Donny sought redemption this week and they got it! Last week they were so close to placing at the top but didn't quite get there. But this week found them taking home first place. We Have A Bad Feeling About This adopted some one person teams and we saw the return of Rodney And the Pips! A tie for second caused a tie breaker between The Keg and We Have A Bad Feeling About This. And We Have A Bad Feeling About This managed to win it.
