Lots of fun to be had at T. Phillips Alehouse on Thursday. We had tough questions, but our players stuck with it and rallied for the prizes. Newbies "Make it So" were a lot of fun, and hey, any team named after Star Trek is pretty great with me.
Regulars Mischief Managed brought 9 players, I think that's a record for them. They got all 10 right in the final round, but still didn't manage to catch Department of Doom, who got a 10 in Round 5, and doubled down in Round 6 to pull away with a whopping 63 for the night.
We're Here for the Beer was a ton of fun, I suggested they buy a round for the Fake ID Kids, since they might be having trouble getting their drink on, not sure if it happened, but The Fakes were too legit finishing in 3rd with 42 for the night.
We hope all our newbies register their teams, cause they were pretty good and made the night a rousing one at T. Phillips!
Side note, took some great pics of Mischief Managed, but I guess they were too hugely awesome to be published, because the file was too big and I couldn't upload it onto the site here to save my life! Sorry folks! We'll get you next week, champs!

It was a fun and crazy night at T. Phillips Alehouse in Monrovia. Our regulars, Cocoa Puffs and Mischief Managed were competing hard neck and neck in the first half, and this week Mischief pulled ahead to win by 10 points.
We had lots and lots of newbies this week, including a birthday in the Over the Hill Costa gang, who wound up 3rd with a nice $10 gift for the birthday girl to take home, and smiles all around.
Our smallest team of the night, 2 people, Duche and Obe, ended up 4th by a nose with 35 points. We hope they become regulars as they are very stiff competition.
And, the awesome prize goes to the Spacemen, a great group of folks from JPL that came late but finished strong. They got 2 awesome points for being super fun, and well, it wouldn't change the place roster anyway. But they were just cool, fun, frolicking Aussies, one of whom is here on holiday, and we're honored she spent her vacation evening with us. So they have the honored spot of first pic above. Thanks for showing up and having fun!
Thanks to all of you who spent your Thursday night with us and brought the enthusiasm!

It was a great night at T. Phillips Alehouse in Monrovia. We had some regulars and some newbies and a lot of fun. It was a tough game with only "Be Kind Rewind" doubling down in 1 round to pull ahead and win by 12 points. Only 3 teams had all answers right in any round, and only 1 time each. Definitely hard questions and it was right up to the wire with 3 teams tied at 35 points in Round 6.
The awesome prize goes to newcomers "Ram Rod" as the loudest and most fun, (and funny) team of the night, pictured above. They're the 2 happy guys with the big smiles. We hope they register and come back again and again.
T. Phillips is a fun place to eat, drink, and do trivia! Come Thursday nights for a good time! And try "Uncle Andy's Pink Lemonade", it's really yummy, and er, a bit deceptively strong. 😀
