It was another close finish at BarFood! The top three teams were all within one point of the next best team. I really enjoy seeing these kinds of scores at the end of the night. It's boring when one team just takes total control and runs up their score. Congratulations to our first place team: Weiss Guys (pictured first). They were strong and consistent through all 7 rounds and ended up knowing the most Scorsese and De Niro films. Also, props to our second place team T. It was a photo finish at Barfood tonight! The top three teams were all within one point from the next highest place. Danthony Scarmitchell (AKA Dan Mitchell A Team) were mentally reviewing their night and told me they blame their second place finish on their lack of doubling in the second round (where they got 8 out of 8 on identifying the famous "Chris"). Eat Me, I'm a Danish (pictured first) never thought they'd get first place when they turned in their 5th round answer sheet. At the time, Danthony Scarmitchell was leading them by one and they were not feeling so great about their rapper connection round. But they ended up getting 9 out of 10 (same as Danthony Scarmitchell) and staying alive. Eat Me, I'm a Danish ended up finishing the night strong with a successful double down in the 6th round and by naming all four women who sat on the Supreme Court AND the four women who were nominated for a Best Director Oscar (Danthony Scarmitchell only got 6 out of 8 on round 7). Little did both teams know that Tapioca Pudding was sneaking up on them. In the 5th round, Tapioca Pudding was 11 points away from the two leading teams. That did not discourage the duo (pictured second) who had their minds on more than just dessert. They ended up doubling down in both the 6th and 7th round, adding a quick 36 points to their score and securing third place. It was definitely a fun battle to watch tonight! Congratulations to everyone for making it out of your house this Sunday night!

After my week vacation, it was awesome to be back on the mic at Barfood. It was as if I never left. Everything was basically the same ol' same ol'. The only thing that changed (or that was constantly changing throughout the entire night) was the Sprinkles are for Wieners team name. I thought that I had misread their answer sheet in the first round when I saw that their answer sheet for round two was Sprinkles are for Penises. I made the correction on my score sheet and moved along. When they handed their answers in for the third round, however, I knew they were just having fun listing all the euphemisms for the male reproductive organ. Their name went on to Sprinkles are for Dicks then Sprinkles are for Tallywackers. They rounded the bottom three rounds with Dongs, Schlongs, and finally the more vulgar, Fucksticks. It was a very entertaining name game to go along with a very competitive trivia night.
