About Fatte Albert's Pizza Co.

With over 30 years of restaurant experience between them, Steve and Wendy feel right at home in the pizza kitchen at Fatte Albert’s Pizza Company in downtown Hanford.  Just as Wendy grew up in her family’s pizzeria, their four children can be seen regularly hanging out at the downtown Hanford pizza shop sitting next to Dad as he hand rolls every fresh dough ball, or folding pizza boxes with Mom on the counter.

Born in Hanford and raised in local farming and agriculture communities, Steve and Wendy decided to make Hanford their home and felt that downtown Hanford was the perfect setting for what they had envisioned for the pizzeria they had long dreamed of.

With their kids in local schools and Steve a Marine Corps veteran, giving back to the community that gives so much to them is priority number one.  Shopping local and utilizing local produce, meats, cheese and dairy has always been important to the integrity of Fatte Albert’s Pizza Company.

As other pizza restaurants take short cuts with frozen dough balls, processed meats, cheeses and frozen veggies, we pay more and put more time and effort into our prep process which begins hours before we open our doors.  With that said keep in mind that we are not a fast food establishment.  Everything is made right when you order it, so sit back and enjoy an ice cold pint or a cream soda and watch your dough being hand-tossed and created into a pizza masterpiece from our family to yours!

"Who let the dogs out?" ....

Last night we may have only had 4 teams compete, but they were are as rabid as junkyard dogs for King Trivia. What's Left of the Avengers came out of the kennel with a viscous bark in a successful double in Round #1. What's Left of the Avengers then missed opportunities for doubles in Round #2 & #7. War Moose acted like a little lost puppy in the beginning, but then learned how to bark by a successful double in Round #2. Then War Moose showed their bite by doubling in the final round by knowing all the stage names and real names of the Spice Girls. In the end, War Moose took 1st Place, while Whats' Left of the Avengers were left in 2nd Place and missing their chew toys. Newcomers Strive 4 Greatness showed they were definitely housebroken and managed to secure a solid 3rd Place in their first visit.

Last night's bonus round was called "Give the dog a bone", where one member from each team had 1.5 minutes to search the room and find as many bones as possible to win a free pitcher of beer. All three teams knew how to fins bones and ended in a tie. Strive 4 Greatness won the tie breaker and the free pitcher of beer by giving their best DMX style bark.

God Bless America.....

It was almost standing room only last night as Fatte Albert's was packed with hardcore trivia players. 10 teams were there to battle it out and see who the REAL AMERICANS Are!!!!

Team: "What's Left of the Avengers" took 1st Place by coming out of the gate scoring a successful double in round #2 which gave them the lead and managed to get the 8-point clue in round #4 and another double in round #6. Team: "War Moose" came in 2nd Place and were knocking on the Avengers door with a successful double in Round #2 and 6 and getting the 8-point clue in Round #4. Team: "Sweet Taste of Freedom" came in 3rd Place but they knew how to keep the leaders sweating during rounds.

I'd like to take a moment to give a shout out to newcomers, Team: "Schmoopies" who could have taken 4th place if they had trusted their knowledge of Harry Potter. I expect great things from them in the future.

Last night's bonus round was all about America as I had our teams make a Patriotic Flag for the 4thof July. It came down to a Flag that showed "Old Glory and Bud Light", Or a Red White and Blue portrait of Colonel Sanders. I let the audience decide and there was no doubt the crowd loves its KFC.

Happy 4thof July to all and please for goodness sake, don't burn down my house.

"To Infinity and Beyond...." (Toy Story)

6 teams came to Kick Trivia and take Beer. It was a back and forth battle all the way to the end, with the leader board changing almost every round. All the teams showed their respect for each other's Game play with only 3 attempted doubles throughout the entire game. Team: "Party in the Front, Party in the Back" showed they were all business and took 1st Place. Team: "A Drinking Team with a Trivia Problem" had a problem staying in the lead and came in 2nd Place. Team: "Hoot n Hollar" had something to Hollar about making 3rd Place.

The bonus round was in honor of "Toy Story 4". One representative was sent up to give their best, "Worst" one sentence plot summary for any of the first 3 Toy Story Movies. Team: "Party in the Front, Party in the Back" confused Toy Story with Cars. Team: "War Moose" had a great summery but it truly was a run-on sentence. But in the end, Team: "What's Left of the Avengers" pulled out the win and a free pitcher of beer with just enough proper uses of commas.
