About Fatte Albert's Pizza Co.

With over 30 years of restaurant experience between them, Steve and Wendy feel right at home in the pizza kitchen at Fatte Albert’s Pizza Company in downtown Hanford.  Just as Wendy grew up in her family’s pizzeria, their four children can be seen regularly hanging out at the downtown Hanford pizza shop sitting next to Dad as he hand rolls every fresh dough ball, or folding pizza boxes with Mom on the counter.

Born in Hanford and raised in local farming and agriculture communities, Steve and Wendy decided to make Hanford their home and felt that downtown Hanford was the perfect setting for what they had envisioned for the pizzeria they had long dreamed of.

With their kids in local schools and Steve a Marine Corps veteran, giving back to the community that gives so much to them is priority number one.  Shopping local and utilizing local produce, meats, cheese and dairy has always been important to the integrity of Fatte Albert’s Pizza Company.

As other pizza restaurants take short cuts with frozen dough balls, processed meats, cheeses and frozen veggies, we pay more and put more time and effort into our prep process which begins hours before we open our doors.  With that said keep in mind that we are not a fast food establishment.  Everything is made right when you order it, so sit back and enjoy an ice cold pint or a cream soda and watch your dough being hand-tossed and created into a pizza masterpiece from our family to yours!

"Authority is not given to you to deny the Return of the King, Steward...." (Lord of the Rings: Return of the King)

It was a proud night for Fatte Albert's because we saw the return of a true King Trivia Legend. Former Quizmaster Devin, better known as "The Lumbersexual, Occasionally Menstrual, Charismatic, Asthmatic, King of the Quiz, The Best in the Biz, Narcissistic, Optimistic, Geek (pause for a dab) on Fleek" was in the house. Devin joined up with Team: "Hubris Geeks" and they took the lead right out of the gate with a successful double in Round #2 but almost lost it all on a risky failed double on Round #6. Even that mistake couldn't keep them from taking 1st Place. Team: "What's Left of the Avengers" also managed a successful double in Round #2 and were nipping at the heels of Team: "Hubris Geeks" all the way to 2nd Place. Newcomers, Team: "Tango Salsa Hotbox" took 3rd Place in their first outing.

Last Nights Bonus Round was geared toward Fatte Alberts History. Only 2 teams were left after the first question, and it was Team: "Hubris Geeks" coming out with the win and the free Pitcher of Beer.

Devin certainly left giant shoes to fill and he brought the energy week after week from many years. I will certainly continue his legacy while adding some Spicy Jalepeno Sauce to the mix...

We are experiencing technical difficulties

PLEASE STAND BY!!!!

That's the sign our host, (Anthony Jalapeno) should have had hanging over his head last night during our weekly competition of King Trivia at Fatte Albert's in Hanford. Our host had to overcome issues with the sound, music and computer scoring spreadsheet. But no matter what surprises sprung up, our host kept the laughs and game on track.

Team: "Easy Come, Easy G.O.A.T" went for the double in Round #2 and rode that all the way to 1st Place. Team: "Do it Yourself Kasmir Bumpers" went for broke in Round #1 with a successful double giving them the early but ended up falling just short and took 2nd Place. Team: "Hoot n Hollar" showed they are truly "Business in the front and party in the Back" and rode that Mullet all the way to 3rd Place.

Team: "What's Left of the Avengers" had an off night but managed to win the bonus rounds free pitcher of beer for being the fastest to consume a fruit by the foot.

Technical difficulties aside, laughs were plenty, old friends were re-united and King Trivia still reigns at Fatte Albert's

"There's no place like home".

It was great to be bank at Fatte Albert's hosting King Trivia. I (Anthony Jalepeno) had hosted King Trivia the night before at Fresno Dave & Busters, and even though I had a blast meeting new people and signing up new teams. Nothing compares to being back in my home town and Fatte Alberts. It as great to see some of our regular teams back to play after taking some time off. The house was packed and ready to go for broke and let it all on the line for King Trivia.

Bitter rivals, Team: "What's left of the Avengers", and Team: "A Drinking Team with a Trivia Problem" went point for point all the way through to round #5. The Avengers went 9 for 10 in that round then a double in round #6 to gain a lead and secure their 1st Place victory. Team: "X" was back and sporting a new team member, code named "Baby X". Team: "X" came out the gate hard and fast risking double on round #2 which cost them heavy, that is until rounds #5 &#6 where successful double landed them 2nd Place. Not to mention, a portrait of "Baby X" on their team sign secured them a win in the bonus round and free pitcher of beer. Team: "A Drinking Team with a Trivia Problem" only scored 3 points in round #5 but had a successful double in round #6. Unfortunately, it only helped them secure 3rd Place, but they managed to win first place in my heart when I saw they had included a portrait of yours truly on their team sign.

Team: "The Terrible 2's" came to play and took the early lead, even guessing the 8-point clue in round #4. They decided to play conservative in round #5 and missed the chance for a double score. They went for the double in round 7 but it cost them a spot on the podium. Team: "Gorilla Power" and Team: "Tasteful Sideboob" were back and showed there was little rust on their game coming in just behind the leaders.

It was a packed house but just like Olive Garden says, "When you're here, your family"
