There is nothing like the warm glow of friendly competition to take the chill off a winter night, and things were warm indeed this week at The Back Door Bakery & Cafe in Sunland/Tujunga.
(Why do we always call it "Sunland/Tujunga"? Why not "Tujunga/Sunland" once in awhile?)
The delightful duo calling themselves The Lucky Lukes (photo #2) gave perennial powerhouse Shana Maidelas (photos 6 & 7) some stiff competition, and The Bozo's nearly stole the show with a strong third place performance.
Most surprising of all, the wizard known as Gandalf showed up for a few rounds (photo 5) and all in all, it was another wonderful evening of fellowship and frivolity at Tujunga/Sunland's most welcoming eatery! See ya next week.

We welcomed the new year with open arms and good friends this week at The Back Door Bakery and Cafe in Sunland Tujunga. Did I say "friends"? It's more like family in the warm, wonderful environment hosts Debra and Reno have created in this gem of a bakery/eatery.
It may have been chilly outside, but the competition was hot and the food delicious as we engaged in our weekly trivia contest that feels more like a party. You are hereby invited to join us. We'll gather again next Wednesday - hope to see you there!

New friends and familiar faces gathered for another rousing round of King Trivia this week at The Back Door Bakery and Cafe. In the "familiar faces" category, Hodge Podge delivered another winning effort, taking the night with 59 points.
In the "new friends" category, we were delighted to be joined by Crazy Southerners, who did not seem at all crazy. A little silly, maybe, but we were happy to have you with us.
