We enjoyed an especially delightful night of trivia fun and frivolity this week at The Back Door Bakery Cafe in Sunland/Tujunga. We Are BACK! finished in FRONT, winning the night with a hefty 68 points.
Team Won & Won proved the validity of the mathematic equation won+won=two by finishing in the #two position with 48, and the linguistically challenging Grin Grinning Ghosts rounded out our top three with 42.
At the other end of the spectrum, like Clayton Kershaw pitching in October, Hodge Podge had a rare bad night, but it's hard to feel sorry for 'em, since they've finished in first like a dozen times recently. Besides, we're pretty sure that Hodge Podge will be back on top soon. Kershaw? Not so sure.

It's all about the laughter and fun at The Back Door Bakery Cafe in Sunland/Tujunga. And there was laughter aplenty as the lovely ladies of Shaina Maidelas took on the tough (but tender) Hodge Podgers this week at the BDB's Wednesday Night Trivia!
It was also all about great food and baked goods. Not to mention fellowship, fun and frivolity. And baked goods. (I'm all about the baked goods!)
That right, it's all about love and laughter and fun and frivolity and good times with good friends, and BAKED GOODS! We'll be back next Wednesday. Come for the croissants, stay for the trivia fun!

It sure looked like a battle royale was getting ready to explode all over The Back Door Bakery Cafe this week between trivia powerhouses Hodge Podge and Shaina Maidelas! And OH! WHat a battle that would have been!!
The Podgers and the Maids both broke strong out of the gate with successful doubles in the very first round! But in a turn of events that was tragic for the Maids (and oh-so-beneficial to the Podgers) the Maids got stung on an unsuccessful double-or-nothing attempt in the second round, and then again in the third!!
Team Won + Won and Duck, Duck, Duck, Goose (clearly one duck better than Duck, Duck, Goose) boldly attempted to meet the challenge of a surging Podge! That attempt was heroic, but the die was cast, and the Podgers were off to the races!
Oh! What a delightful place for an evening of trivia fun and - you know - delicious baked goods. We'll be back next week. Hope to see you there!
