A big hearty to welcome to all the new folks at the Lion n Crown! We hope you enjoyed the first of what we hope is many Thursday nights King Trivia games with us! And what a beautiful night it was with all of the holiday decorations up. The tree! The tinsel! The tassels! The paper snowflakes that clotheslined us there for a few minutes! Ahhh, tis the season 🙂

The Lion and Crown folks sure know how to make a Quiz Master proud!! I was stoked to hear that several teams showed up for the annual Thanksgiving Night edition of King Trivia. Way to keep the tradition alive, y'all!
I'm also glad that no team of ours will stand for anyone playing alone (unless by choice, of course). There were a couple of folks who were new to our venue and on their lonesome for the evening. That lasted all of 5 minutes before a few teams swept them up into their ranks! Proving once again that our games are competitive, but also a great way to meet people. I hope to see you folks back again!
Shout out to everyone in attendance tonight, playing or otherwise as the Cowboys played their Thursday night game! We managed the sound well, everyone got along, and they 'Boys chalked up another W. Sweet!

Quiz Master Lou here, subbing for Christian this week while she takes a night off for
Thanksgiving. But apparently, some of the locals at the L&C in Addison were not taking
the night off as four teams formed to compete with each other and a fifth team migrated
over from the Lion & Crown in Allen. (Thanks for stopping by, Blood, Bath & Beyond!)
Seems every other round had a Thanksgiving theme, even the General Knowledge Round. A
very clever Round Six: Foreign phrases for "Thanks" got the most Double-or-Nothing's.
In fact, all the rounds were getting some pretty accurate responses right up until the
last one, Round Seven. Getting the Presidential Line of Succession correct and in order
is not easy unless you're a civics major at the time! However, it also generated the
funniest answers of the evening...
