  1. Feast and Famine at the Fountainhead this Tuesday. Perennial faves Ask My Balls roared back into first place early, but were toppled by a wrong guess during Round 4. They clawed their way back, and Sexy Cupcakes did their best to hold them off, with both teams successfully using Double-or-Nothing and in the end the boys of Balls were back on top. The Good Guys tried to pack their team with a plethora of people, but more was unfortunately not merrier while the Barrel-Aged Whiz Kids turned in a respectable game despite arriving at the end of round one. Fountainhead trivia is certainly shaping itself into a more competitive affair since its day change, and Tuesday night is bringing out some strong teams.

Game Rank Team # Team Name Score Teams Beaten Team Beat Average
1 Ask My Balls 51 5 1.000
2 Sexy Cupcakes 47 4 0.800
3 The Good Guys 33 3 0.600
4 Barrel-Aged Whiz Kids 27 2 0.400
5 Cool Beans 21 1 0.200
6 Team Spike 19 0 0.000

A sizzling finale at the Fountainhead this week. Lead changes, a cautious double-or-nothing swerve, and a 10-point Guess Who round all propelled newcomers the Hufflepuffs to a first-time victory over perennial favorites Ask My Balls by a margin of one single point. Solo player Team Ram Rod made a very respectable showing, while three other teams couldn't hack it and fell by the wayside.

Game Rank Team # Team Name Score Teams Beaten Team Beat Average
1 The Hufflepuffs 42 5 1.000
2 Ask My Balls 41 4 0.800
3 Team Ram Rod 35 3 0.600
4 People Working Constantly 15 2 0.400
5 Horchata 4 1 0.200
6 Picklesss 2 0 0.000

This week's Trivia showdown was one of the most intense nights of trivia I have ever hosted (that being said I've only hosted two nights of Trivia throughout my life so you should probably take that last statement with a grain of salt). At the end of round 6 it seemed that the two teams who would be competing for the 1st and 2nd place prizes would clearly be "Aaron Sucks" (on a side note I am a personal friend of the Aaron that this team name is referring to which I think gives me the necessary credentials to say that there is some truth to this) and "Team San Jose". The reason this seemed obvious is because at the end of round 6 "Aaron Sucks" had 46 points, and "Team San Jose" had 44 points; while "Ask My Balls" only had 36 points. But on the final round "Ask My Balls" took a risk and decided to use a double or nothing. When I first saw that this was their choice I felt nervous for them. Even one wrong answer would have meant that their team got ZERO points for the final round. But they managed to defy the odds and get all the questions in round seven correct, and because they used a double or nothing they managed to rake in 20 points at the last minute. Which just barely gave them the tittle of 1st place. Now even though there was only one formal "winner" at our trivia showdown everyone who came out to play trivia tonight went home with at least one piece of obscure information in their head that was not there when they left their home that morning, and because of that (to quote O'Shea Jackson) "it was a good day".

Game Rank Team # Team Name Score Teams Beaten Team Beat Average
1 Ask My Balls 56 4 1.000
2 Aaron Sucks 53 3 0.750
3 Team San Jose 51 2 0.500
4 14202 Black Mambas 33 1 0.250
5 The Cat's Whiskers 22 0 0.000
