It was a magnificent seven-way shootout for trivia glory at the Fountainhead last night, with plenty of returning teams having tweaked their makeup and strategy for maximum efficiency. Ask My Balls made a beautiful recovery after a blown double-or-nothing to just barely steal second from the Drs Are In, while Automating America went big, adding a few more players to the usual squad and winning through group effort. New team Blonde Boys joined late but reeled off a few near-perfect rounds, while Too Stoned Last Week might have been a little too stoned this week as well, although they seemed to be largely giggly and hungry about it.

We might be out of August, but trivia action remains as intense as ever at the Fountainhead. No Labor Day lull was felt as 7 teams fought it out in a game that saw numerous lead changes and some big big swings down the stretch.
Ladies & the Tramps played with surgical precision, not letting any of their three perfect rounds go undoubled. I've said it a million times: using the double-or-nothing skillfully is the key to victory at trivia. The reverse was proved as several leads were blown, and in the end The Drs Are In squeaked by in a tie-breaker with Ask My Balls for second. Plus, we learned where babies come from, thanks to the health educator on Aunt Becky Got Me Into College: Abstinence-only sex ed.

Sizzling trivia tonight at the Fountainhead that once again found it's stride down the stretch. Successful doubles in the later rounds gave Ask My Balls another victory in championship form, while blown doubles sapped the wind from the sails of some other teams. Notorious RBG left it in autopilot and cruised to a second-place finish, while Aunt Becky Got Me Into College, a team of one this week, heroically managed to snag third! Well played trivia all around!
