An intimate followup to everyone's favourite Irish-centric drinking holiday. 5 teams braved their hangovers to join us at Barney's on the 3rd Street Promenade!
Luckily, by the end of the game, each team had registered, scoring 2 bonus points. It almost could have decided the difference between first and second place, not to mention the fact the League Play begins on April 2nd!
"There can be only one" and "Benjamin Quizraeli" faced of early, establishing a rivalry with successful round 1 double-downs, that would keep everyone in nail-biting suspense for the duration.
Challengers "Secular Healing" and "Bestiality Killed the Cat" tried valiantly to unseat the top two, but were unable to overcome the early lead.
"Don't worry, Be Yoncé" suffered an unsuccessful double-down in the final round, just missing out on third place - a trying test for the regional champs - but winning an epic Rochambeau tournament gave them a comforting appetizer.

Oscar Night at Trivia and the stars were shining bright tonight!
The undisputed Queen of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness - Beyonce, herself - took top prize at this evening's festivities. Rumors swirled after she didn't use her gift card to pay for Jay-Z's chicken fingers but Blue Ivy was cheering long past her bedtime for her triumphant mama.
Benjamin Quizraeli, once the favored pick on many ballots for Best Foreign Sounding Name, was upset at the last minute after a poorly timed Double or Nothing - emphasis on the Nothing - didn't sit well with many voters.
And it was Full Loftus as the dark horse in this year's race, taking 3rd place among the Santa Monica elite this evening, who will most certainly be one to watch for in years to come.
Scuba will need to go back to the water, I Keint say anything good about another one of the nominees, Five Spice should have dropped at least two of its members, and I Just Came Here to Drink probably should have stuck to doing just that.
