QUIZ RECAP

It was a spooktacular night of trivia at Founders. Whether the crowd was ready for it or not, we had a Halloween-themed set of trivia!

Things we learned through some wonderful incorrect answers tonight:

-Bob Cratchit is not dead in A Christmas Carol

-Stephen King has not written (at least not yet) novels with the titles: "Indonesian Soccer Team Stuck in a Cave" and "We're Going to Need to Redo Your Colonoscopy"

-Beetlejuice has never used the nickname "Ol' Black Eyes"

The drinking round was a scary good time! The teams were asked to come up with the scary story they could in 15 words or less. Below are their stories:

QUIZ RECAP

We had a difficult one tonight with some low scores, but that doesn't mean that victory was any less glorious!

For the Love of Taco Bell had an incredible 1st half with 2 doubles in a row (the only team with 2 doubles). They're 2nd half was a different story however. It looked to be to a great start with a 9 in round 5, but then they had 2 failed doubles to end the game. This made fall from 1st into a tie for 2nd. They lose the tiebreaker & complete the fall from 1st to 3rd in the last round, taking the bronze!

Bippity Boppity showed some patient play along with a double in round 2. They cruise along to the end where they surprisingly are in a 2nd place tiebreaker. They take the tiebreaker & also break expectations (as it seemed they would finish in 3rd) with a 2nd place finish. Taking the silver!

First Man Second Furious played very conservatively & patient tonight & it paid off. They grab a double in round 2 & only had one bad round. They were in 2nd for most of the game, but their keep on trucking attitude turned out to be the recipe for success as For the Love of Taco Bell takes one chance too many in the last round & fall from 1st. First Man Second Furious snatches the lead from them & finish there. Earning the gold & becoming the champions of the night!

QUIZ RECAP

We had an exciting one tonight as we had a duel for 1st & then a team came out of no where to snatch 3rd place which seemed to act as hot potato for the 1st half of the game.

I Like Beer was the team to make this brilliant move by recovering from a -1 & total of a measly 9 points in round 4. They followed that up with an incredible recovery caused by 2 successful doubles in a row. This shot them up to 3rd, where'd they finish, taking the bronze!

A Star is Fourn & I Lost My Virginity At... found themselves in a duel. They both doubled once & in round 3, I Lost My Virginity At... was one point ahead. That quickly changed in round 4 where A Star Is Fourn did slightly better & then they are ahead by one. Things stay the same in round 5 as both teams double for 20. Round 6 however would be the downfall for A Star Is Fourn as they fail a double. They did better in the last round, but it is to no avail as they finish in 2nd, taking the silver. I Lost My Virginity At... stays steady with their comfortable lead after round 6 & take the gold, becoming the champions of the night!
