QUIZ RECAP

What a fantastic, competitive night. So many teams were in the hunt from start to finish. In Round 3, 9 of the 15 teams doubled - correctly! In the end, "double or nothing" strategy carried the day. 1st Place Team "The Mighty Baanchods" successfully doubled three times, while 2nd Place "The Silence" and 3rd Place "Trap It" only doubled twice. And a word to the wise - our 2nd Place team overtook our 3rd Place team by one point. The difference was +2 points for being registered with King Trivia. Go register to guarantee an extra 2 points every match. It can make a difference. It did tonight!

The game started strong with 10 successful doubles in the 1st 2 rounds, Nine-nine!! doubling twice! The momentum was slowed by a rough round 3 however.

This didn't phase My Least Favorite Grandson as a successful double in round 5 threw them back into the mix. They only miss 2 questions for the rest of the game, tying for 2nd. Sadly, they lose the tie breaker & take the bronze!

The Mighty Baanchods were locked into a battle for the lead until a disastrous failed double in round 6 seemed to leave them in the dust. Rather then wave the white flag, they opted to go all in & it worked! They had a miraculous recovery in round 7 with the ONLY successful double! This threw them into a tie for 2nd & they take the tie breaker, earning themselves the silver!

Hateful 8 seemingly stayed under the radar with a quiet strong game, only doubling in round 2. It was a successful double in round 5 that would push them over the edge & into the lead. They have another 2 solid rounds to insure their victory & take the gold becoming the champions of the night!

We had a big show tonight with 19 different teams! The competition was fierce until the very end.

The fight for 3rd was tight between Who Wants Drugs? I Have Drugs & Blessed Be the Fruit Loop until A Storm's A Cumming! joined the race out of no where with a successful double in round 6. This proved too devastating & A Storm's A Cumming! takes the bronze!

The Mighty Baanchods & Westworld 2: Electric Boogalo found themselves neck & neck fighting for 1st once again, separated by only 1 point in rounds 3-5. A subpar score of 5 in round 6 would be their downfall & they end the game as runner-up, taking the silver. Westworld 2: Electric Boogalo, on the other hand had a perfect score of 10, in round 6, which led to them taking the gold & becoming the champions of the night!
