- PUB QUIZ—Tuesdays @ 8:00pm
It was hopping at Founders Ale House on Tuesday night! Or I should say, "Found HER 'Ale House'!" Get it? (giggle giggle). That was just a taste of the creative team names out there tonight. There were actually an abundance of creative names, including our winning team's: "Quiz Me Like One of Your French Girls."
The round-down:
No Outside Sources took an early lead that could have lasted longer had they doubled down in that first round. They got all of them correct but didn't want to risk the big zero. Instead, Quiz Me..., Better Late, and Get Outta Here Ghost! all jumped ahead of No Outside Sources in the 2nd round. All three of those teams being the complete winner's circle. The place winners all stayed within a few points of each other until Quiz Me... doubled down in the 5th, 6th, and 7th round! Completely leaving Better Late in the dust, Get Outta Here Ghost! also doubled down in the 6th and 7th to put themselves within 7 points of Quiz Me... They couldn't quite catch them this time. Tune in next week to see if they get their revenge!
It was definitely good to be back at Founders after missing the previous week. Such a great, big group of people that don't rip on me too much when I mispronounce words and stuff. Also, did you know that Founders has a HAPPY HOUR before and after trivia? Check out the picture if you don't believe me! What a convenient coincidence! Come check it out with me next week!

A huge crowd came out for Trivia Night at Founders Ale House on Tuesday! A grand total of 20 teams started out the game, with over 12 teams staying until the final rounds. After a few "Wishy-Washy" questions stumped some teams during the Wishing and Hoping and Dreaming round, everyone stepped their game up in rounds 5, 6, and 7. Many of the top teams opted to Double or Nothing during Find The Connection, and the race was heated until the very end. None of the teams aced Round 7, but every point counted tonight, as the top three teams — Troop Beverly Hills Adjacent, Ancient Geezers and It Sounds Right — all ended up within one point of each other! Congrats on being fierce competitors and come back again for more awesome King Trivia nights at Founders Ale House!

Novelist or author? That is the question. Two separate things, yet both uncharted territories for me. What a challenging visual handout for round number two! Identifying contemporary novelists? No thank you. It was so difficult, no one dared to double down on their answers. It affected everyone's doubling mojo! It wasn't until the 5th round that anyone even tried to double at all! That's where everything took off, when Get Out of Here, Ghost! (1st picture) and Interrobang Gang nailed the find the connection round. Not to be out done, the Ancient Geezers (3rd picture) stepped up their double or nothing game and doubled down successfully in the 6th AND 7th round. It wasn't enough though, they came up just ONE point short of first place. I could hear the group blaming the "Turn of the Screw" question for ruining their chances. They didn't let that ruin the rest of their night though, they were just happy to place (since they thought I was a bad luck charm due to the fact that they hadn't placed since I took over Quizmaster duties at Founder's). Also having a good time? Sparrow Biscuit (2nd picture)! They didn't let their score affect their good time either. What good sports! Better luck next time, ya'll!
