If you've ever wanted to see a man with severe jet lag host trivia, you've missed your chance at Rocco's Culver City. Despite the occasional slip of the tongue and a few adding mistakes, the crowd at Rocco's was welcoming and only pestered me when it really mattered.

Despite the foosball being back on the televisual set, everyone was primed for trivia. Except for that one table. Ugh. You know who I'm talking about. Good thing they left after round 3.

In the end, 'twas a battle of regulars as PADDINGTON KILLS and FRISKY KITTIES aimed for the top, with the Kitties swooping in with a last round double to clinch their crown and $40 certificate. A group of newcomers who came for the $2 PATRON SHOTS took third after a brief lead. A scoring snafu in the final round lead to a protest, but they were able to maintain their prize and will hopefully be back to defend.

We had a great post-sportsball time here at Rocco's in Culver.

Six teams matched wits to duke it out for trivia supremacy, buy only three could be victorious. It was a harrowing journey through picture rounds, worksheets, and gosh darn if we all just had the devil of a time guessing who.

In the end, though, we had our champions, and at the top of the heap for a second week in a row, Paddington Kills

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!!!

... and also trivia.

Gridiron conflict tearing the hearts of angelinos: two LA favourites, our former representatives in the Raiders and our returning team the Rams, once again making LA their home, attention was already split. So why not add in some trivia?

Given that halftime was just barely commencing the game started silently, with rounds 2 and 6 circulating under the radar as everyone took a breather and let their heart beats settle to a calm 117 bpm.

When the dust began to settle in the 4th quarter, we all learned that 4 teams successfully doubled on the Pictures, but the worksheet was giving a little more trouble, and although there were a few high scores, there were no perfects, and not even one attempted double down.

A few more rounds of trivia vocalized before everyone needed to go home, but the scores were clear enough to let some prizes fly, with only one unregistered team on the podium (see? Those points count!)
