Was that a fever dream or did Lou Bega with a little Monica by his side truly turn the tide at King Trivia night at Rocco's on Monday?

It was not, and as part of the collective Find the Connection round, the Itty Bitty Ditty Committee went back to back as champions using a well-timed successful double or nothing to propel themselves into first, which they held on as 2nd place got crossed up on the artists and their points of origin. Who knew J. Cole calls Germany his place of birth.

It was, however, a case of what could have been -- as the aforementioned second place team - Bed, Bath & Beyonce (clever team name, ya'll), came up with all correct on round 5, but did not check that tempting X next to double or nothing, as there competitors did, which caused a 2nd place result.

And then our third place team last night, Mr. T Says Curling is Cool, Fool.... the tradition of finishing in the money continues. They come, they see, they answer, and they go home sponsored yet again by Rocco's. A model of consistency.

See you next -- a mix of competition, fun, Rocco's buck and free drinks predicated on your music knowledge. A night that is not to be missed...

Double Or Nothing -- you cruel mistress. Some nights, it brings you to the top from way back, or stakes you to an insurmountable lead -- but, sometimes SOMETIMES you become Icarus, flying too close to the 2x or nothing sun, and an early lead evaporates into a tie-breaker for 3rd.

Once again 2 Girls'1Chris showed their mettle, once again this Quizmaster's intense popularity pulled their attention away from trivia, and straight to the Itty Bitty Ditty Committee -- who used a successful double round 3, a quick Michael Jackson identification, and the power of winning the drinking round to claim the Monday night title.

First timers, Crab Cake Fannypack snapped on in to a 2nd place finish, helped YES helped (camaraderie ya'll!) by our third place tie-break winners, Mr. T Says, Curling is Cool, Fool!

Who says novices can't win?! First time King Trivia players "What Happened Last Night" started out strong and stayed the course for the entire game - snatching an impressive 1st Place win.  "Mr T. Says Curling Is Cool, Fool" could have overtaken them if they had only doubled or nothing in Round 6, when they answered all ten questions correctly.  But there's no shame in 2nd place.  "Woke Up Lil Dicky" and "The Ws" were battling for 3rd for most of the game - but in Round 7, "Woke Up" pulled it out for 3rd place.  All in all, great play by all teams.
