QUIZ RECAP

Week 3 of trivia at Rocco's in Culver City brought us 5 teams, and a topsy-turvy game that saw the Octets begin  by trying to recruit the entire bar to play on their own team, and after that proved unsuccessful, tried to avenge the collective cold shoulder by serving as wire-to-wire champs.

However, after watching the close pursuing teams behind them jockey for position, (trading 2nd, 3rd and 4th all game long) in the end, in a reversal of the norm, a last-second wise decision NOT to go double or nothing by our winners, Tequila Mockingbird, instead using a 9 out of 10 round 7 to vault passed our rounds 1-6 leaders, scored them a championship.

Now if we can only convince that last table of holdouts (they may have been on a date that we crashed) who were resistant to this emcee's charms all game long to join in the trivia fun --  a successful King Trivia colonization, will be accelerated that much more.

QUIZ RECAP

It was the first ever King Trivia night at Rocco's Culver City. The small teams were fierce and ready to fight (mentally, of course).

The night started off a little bizarre with a visiting werewolf - he kept peering through windows and standing in the doorway. First question of the night: What's up with that!? I've heard of Werewolves of London, but Werewolves of Culver City is sometime new.

Once the werewolf went along their hairy way, the game took off. The Roca Fellas took an early lead, and held first place throughout the entire game.

But Warrior Queens and Squad never gave up and fought hard until the end.

Prizes were won, good times were had, and next week the battle will continue.
