QUIZ RECAP

Possibly the biggest night yet. Over 60 players. Been getting compliments consistently now. Tonight I got "good host" and "glad you're good at adding scores up." People are digging the music choices I've been making. Tonight for the drinking round I had them name as many group of animals that they could think of. Winning team had 14! Kudos for having both a litter of kittens and a clowder of cats 🙂 I'm appreciating the fun and good natured trash talking between 2nd Cousins and Da Bears.

QUIZ RECAP

Slow night for a usually packed place, but we still had over 40 players. Tonight was a breakthrough night. I've been using a bum speaker since first hosting and didn't realize it. I guess I just thought that that was how the PA system was supposed to sound. The system at my other gig is good, but the one I have in my trunk for this locale hasn't been. I believe it's gotten worse lately as well. Got the new speaker replacement today and MAN it felt great! You can actually hear music properly and my voice on mic is legit! I had been tentative while using the mic and now I can just speak freely and not have to get too close. It really is just so liberating

It was an especially good night in terms of energy. Everyone seemed to be in great spirits. There was electricity in the air. Starting to build more of a rapport with specific players/teams. Really had a good time, and looking forward to the future with this rad speaker/sound!

Moral: make sure your sound system is up to par 😉

Did bad math at the end tonight but winning team corrected me- I checked my math, saw the mistake and awarded prizes accordingly. Thank you, Pasadena Peeps for keeping me on my toes and well done tonight !
