QUIZ RECAP

At long last I got the heart un-stuck from my speaker!!

But the lack of my speaker's heartbeat didn't make the Trivia Action ANY LESS HEART POUNDING!!!

We have a new team on the scene who started rather modestly, but very soon rocketed into first with some strategic double downs.

And for the whole game it seemed that OOOOO Suspended Load would carry it to the end when all of sudden...

...They did...

Congrats to Suspended Load (pictured) for coming in first, Tired + Stupid (left before I could steal their souls with my camera) for coming in second, and congrats to newcomers BB & JJ (also pictured) for your third place finish.

My apologies to the Pasadena Peeps, at least y'all can drown your sorrows in your drinking round win. Thank you for gracing us with your panda!

QUIZ RECAP

The feeling in the air was odd, we hadn't been here before, there are... POOL TABLES???

Tonight we got pushed out of our usual spot, and upstairs to the pool room, but that didn't stop the trivia suspense!!! (though it did delay it a little bit). After a soft round 1, we could feel this was going to be a high-scoring night (everyone got one question wrong at most).

Tired + Stupid pulled ahead for an early lead with the peeps and the cousins nipping at their heels the whole game! But everything changed in round 6 when Second Cousins got their 2nd consecutive double down!

As it so often does, everything came down to weed- I mean the wire! Round 7's lit question was high scoring as the rest of the night, but the 2nd Cousins pulled off a first (in my career) by de-throning the Pasadena Peeps in first place!

Hands were clapped, shirts were ripped, pool balls were clacked and hands were shaken.

Congrats to 2nd Cousins for coming in first, Pasadena Peeps for coming in second, and Da Bears for bringing it back into third in the last two rounds!

I had a ton of fun, and I hope y'all did too!

QUIZ RECAP

It was a warm and stuffy Thursday evening with many a speaker pop (sorry again about that all) when one of the most unprecedented round threes in my entire Quizmaster career took place!

EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. Of the twelve teams competing successfully doubled down on round three in a slithery slippery slround of slslslslsles.

Got carried away with the sl (that was the theme for round 3) but despite the high scores of the night, the game was incredibly close! A right answer and a pen was all that separated the Pasadena Peeps (1st) and 2nd Cousins (2nd), with Da Bears (3rd) only falling behind by an additional point!

It was a fun night overall, and I'm proud of all of the team's performances (I'm still blown away by that round 3)
