It was a bit of a slow start for our 3 teams this Tuesday at Bar Charlie, with a tough first round of questions. Teams were pretty steady neck-in-neck-in-neck with each team inching forward through the first 5 rounds.
Round 1's "General Knowledge" was not so common knowledge. Then in Round 2's Pictures, the teams picked up some speed, getting most of the Lego Minifigures properly paired with their movie characters. Round 3 had the teams wishing and cursing to get the answers.
Round 4 is typically a person, but this week, it was a Place, so this threw off at least one team, who turned in an incorrect answer, costing them a point, and the other two teams waiting it out until they were sure they had the correct answer to turn in their sheet. In Round 5, two of the three teams were able to Find the Connection for question 10 - Balls!
And then once we got to Round 6, the matching round, DJ Khaled's songs were matched up properly with their featured artist WITH the Double or Nothing checked, pulled Nonino into the lead.
It was still anyone's game in Round 7, though, as any one of the teams could have double-or-nothing'd their way to the top - but no one was certain enough in their "E for Excellent" to get them all.
In the end we had Nonino in 1st, Quizzard of Oz in 2nd, and "And in Third Place" right where they wanted to be in 3rd!

Drinks! Food! Questions! And Pooches! These all made for a great night of trivia at Bar Charlie!
Risk it for the Biscuit risked it with a Round 2 Double or Nothing giving them a solid early on.
Sleeping Booty also had a strong first half, just keeping ahead of Blumpkin Spice Latte. Feels Like Second Place slowly, but surely gained ground, until tying with Blumpkin Spice Latte in Round 5.
Round 6 things finally came to a head- Risk it for the Biscuit scored big with another Double or Nothing. BlumpkinSpice Latte, pulled out in front of Sleeping Booty, as did Feels Like Second Place!
Finally in Round 7, Risk it for the Biscuit dominated the night with 74 points, but only 3 points separated the remaining 3 teams with Blumpkin Spice Latte taking 2nd Place with 41 points, and Feels Like Second Place just barely edging out Sleeping Booty for 3rd by 1 point!
It was exciting right up to the very end! Come out next Tuesday for more trivia action!

Five teams entered... and five teams left Bar Charlie safe and sound because though the competition can be spirited, it's still pretty safe and not usually prone to physical harm.
Speaking of spirited competition, 3 teams, Riff Raff, Risk It For The Biscuit, and Quiz On Your Face kept it neck and neck and neck throughout most of the night in spite of Round Two Double or Nothings from the first two teams. Cali 4 Lyfe had slow start, but started gaining steam by Round 3. But it was the Double or Nothings hit by Bust Down Thotiona in Rounds 5 and 7 that propelled them into a 1st Place Prize with 66 points. Which left Riff Raff, Quiz On Your Face, and Risk It For The Biscuit to duke it out a 3-way tie for 2nd and 3rd Places with 62 points a piece. However, Risk It For The Biscuit came closer to the number of days Shannon Lucid spent on the space station Mir than Quiz On Your Face, coming within 54 days of the correct answer (188), but Riff Raff guessed within 53 Days, swiping 2nd Place and leaving the Biscuits with 3rd. And a very honorable 4th Place for Quiz On Your Face.
All and all, not a bad way to spend a Tuesday night!
