Back at it again with another Trivia Tuesday at Bar Charlie, with plenty of puppy snuggles, puffy coats, and pub-y drinks to keep warm as the weather's starting to cool off for Fall. We had six lovely teams join in the trivia fun.
After an uneventful first round, we dove into the Picture Round of natural landmarks from around the world. I made an on-the-spot ruling about the former Bed, Bath, and Beyonce team's answer on number 5 of round 2, which they marked as Horseshoe Bend, whereas my answer key noted this as the Grand Canyon. After further research, that photo does come up as Horseshoe Bend, and I have awarded that team their due point for that answer, here on the record. Quick shoutout to The Alive Kennedys for their fun answers on the ones they didn't know... "Mt. Pointy thing in Arizona," "That Place that's not Niagra," "Places you should never breakdown" all makes for a more interesting paper grading process for the QM 🙂
Lots of fun was had. In the final round we had a few teams double down, costing Boyz II Mennonites and It's Only Tuesday the round, but pushing Redacted to secure their top spot!
Final places went to Redacted in 1st, Riff Raff in 2nd, and Horseshoe Bend in 3rd.

Seven teams came out to play Trivia this week, and a few of them were full tables of eight or more, further proving that the more brains you have working together to come up with your trivia answers, the better!
Some highlights and lowlights (gotta have balance) of the evening included:
-Two teams starting off round 1 with a double-or-nothing and the two bonus points for being registered at KingTrivia.com, scoring 14 points!
-A tough Guess Who round in the 4th, caused two wrong answers, and 2 other teams who decided they were better off not turning anything in and keep all their points than guessing incorrectly and getting minus 1 point.
-Lenient acceptance of anything Sports-related on the Find the Connection round's final question by the Quizmaster had the teams elated!
-Further generosity by Bar Charlie for a fun Drinking Round and a round of shots for the winner!
-At Least We have a Dog had to leave a little early due to some scheduling
-The teams that remained put in a great effort, and when they were all taking far too long in the final round, I just asked for any submission, and I'd read out the funniest ones on the mic. So, great work Jacobites for your Round 7 submissions of Dirt, Coal, Beer, Myr (& Frankensense), and IOUs! Honorable mention to Impeach This! for getting all 10 right (and double-or-nothing) plus went the extra mile with Poop - but still ended up 1 point shy of Scott's Tots.
