Pour is focused on bringing the community together.  We are creating an environment that showcases the quality craftsmanship of beers available to the world today, with an emphasis on Colorado craft beer.  Our focus is providing the community an exceptional environment to socialize, relax and interact with one another while experiencing all that properly served beer has to offer… one “Pour” at a time.

 

What we are:

 

Pour is a craft beer tap house with 30 draft lines focusing on the best beer we can source.  We have a constantly varying beer selection from the best breweries available.  Our taps have a wide variety of high-end craft beer that will appease the newest beer connoisseur to the oldest and most experienced beer snob.  We offer very basic snacks, but encourage you to bring whatever food you would like to enjoy while you partake in our beer selection.  We can make beer and food pairing suggestions to enhance your experience and will be conducting pairing events and education seminars routinely.  Finally, we are working with quality food trucks to bring some great food to our neighborhood while enhancing business opportunities for some very motivated individuals.  We look forward to seeing you at Pour and will gladly host any type of social gatherings you can dream up.

So....after a 9-month COVID hiatus, your intrepid Quizmaster did subbed at Pour Tap House...and found a whole new world. The new contactless scoring system worked very well, much to my amazement. We started with 6 teams and ended the night with just two but it was a fun evening for all (if I may say so myself!)

Tchoupitoulas hit on a double-or-nothing right out of the gate to jump into the lead, but they were passed by Beer Pressure, whose double put them in first place with 22 points after 2 rounds. Wicked & Wylee could never recover from the -1 tallied in the Guess What round (Bugs Bunny?!?), While a missed double in Round 5 doomed Cheez and Crack Whores; Baby Yoda dropped out after 4 rounds as their little one had to hit the hay. Though they were in the middle of the pack most of the night, First and Last in Gym Class stuck it out to the end...and ended up with 2nd place honors because 4 other teams had peeled off! Meanwhile Beer Pressure, lurking below the leaders through the middle rounds, hit a spectacular 20-point double in the handout round (6) to vault into first and coast to victory.

It was SO MUCH FUN to be back in the saddle, thanks to all who played (and to the fabulous Mary behind the bar!). See you next time!

It was cold outside but nice and toasty inside last night at Pour Tap House! Teams had fun answering spooky questions about Halloween episodes of various sitcoms and matching even spookier song titles to artists. We learned a lot about love in Round 3, and Asstastic managed to stump me during the bonus round. Great to see Hands Off My Soobies after a long hiatus (Don, if you're reading this, they said to tell you "hiiiii!"). Also pleased that Swellman stuck around all night, despite saying they were only in for Round 1. Hats off to First in Gym Class for taking home the win. Looking forward to more tacos and trivia next Tuesday!

So much fun at Pour Tap House! NINE teams represented last night and had a ton of fun with the quiz rounds. We had a very special guest appearance from former quizmaster Don, which everyone LOVED! I am still figuring out the balance between alerting quizzers to the hints behind my musical choices as they relate to the themes of each round, but practice makes perfect, right? I very much enjoyed that there was a question about Ralph Ellison (one of my favorite authors). I also wish I could have inserted "Welcome to Earf!" during the last clue for Round 4, but we throw our dreams away, right? Hm, to end on a lighter note: Yay for the King Trivia equivalent of a hat trick - 3 teams getting three perfect scores and all three doubling up on those rounds - great job Moms Who Drink, Midas Whales and Cereal Killers! See you next week for more trivia and tacos!
