QUIZ RECAP

With end-of-school events abounding throughout Northern Colorado, turnout was down but the competition was heated tonight at Collision Brewing. #momjeans were (thankfully) back after a week's absence, and regulars (and former winners) Gold vs. Gold and Brown Chicken, Brown Cow rounded out the field. The teams were tightly bunched most of the night, with only 3 points separating them all after 3 rounds. A failed 8-point guess in the Guess Who round dropped #momjeans out of a tie for 1st and 5 points off the pace, the same position in which they finished. Gold vs. Gold were in the race all night but opted to "go big or go home" in the final round; their logic was inassailable as they entered Round 7 in 3rd place and they were already guaranteed a prize (with only 3 teams playing). Their double-or-nothing bid yielded nothing (despite a respectable 8 out of 10) and left them in 3rd. Brown Chicken, Brown Cow were steady throughout and won for the 2nd week in a row; their 25 points in the last 3 rounds kept them in front of #momjeans until the end.

Collision is booked for a private event next week but we'll see you all again on May 16th!

QUIZ RECAP

It was....different tonight at Collision Brewing. Turnout was below usual, most noticeably that #momjeans were not present. A table of newcomers joined in spontaneously but left after 3 rounds because "we have kids"; this left returners Brown Chicken, Brown Cow, Gold vs. Gold and Our Drinking Team Has A Trivia Problem. Gold vs. Gold threatened to run away with the night after a successful double-or-nothing in Round 2, and led wire to...almost wire. Their lead was in double digits all night,until the last round. Kudos to the research team on the "Guess Who" question, as only 2 teams got the answer right and each only for 2 points. The final question saw leaders Gold vs. Gold only able to name 4 out of 10; Trivia Problem got 10 out of 10 but did not double and fell 4 points short. Brown Chicken, Brown Cow, however, hit a double for 20 points and leapt past both teams in front of them for their only lead of the night to win first prize.

We'll be back next week to do it all again; Collision has a prior event that will preempt us on May 9th but we'll be back again on 5/16. See you then!!

QUIZ RECAP

We had another nice turnout tonight; even as the weather gets nicer outside we still get 20+ people to join in the fun at Collision Brewing. Regulars #momjeans, Nostradumbass and Brown Chicken, Brown Cow were joined by returners Winner The Pooh. A bemused party of onlookers joined up as Table With 2 Kids and lasted as long as the children would allow, namely 5 rounds. The 4 returning teams were tied with 6 points after Round 1...until #momjeans converted a double-or-nothing to jump 10 points clear of the field, and the ladies never relinquished the lead. The positions stayed roughly the same through Round 5, though it bears pointing out that Nostradumbass were the only team to successfully answer the 8-point clue in the Guess Where round. Sadly Nostradumbass got 9 correct answers in Round 6 but checked the double-or-nothing box, dropping them out of the running and into 3rd place, where they would eventually finish. This left #momjeans and Brown Chicken, Brown Cow to settle matters, and the ladies held on, scoring 6 in the final round to edge out Brown Chicken (who scored an 8) by 4 points and take back the mantle of winners from last week's champs.
