All of our teams tonight (except Jimmy heaters) need to call their American history teachers and apologize for slacking off in their class(es).
That being said, congratulations to all but three of tonight's teams on successfully doubling in the final round (Breakfast, Dad, Expectations, GBD, Geralt, Jimmy, Mathilda, Prince, and Stone)!
Although GBD failed to capitalize on a perfect score in round 1 and only scored 2/10 in round 6, they kept consistently high scores throughout the night to take the win. And even though the BOBs were short-handed, their successful double came in round 5, hanging onto the 2nd place spot.
Both Jimmy and Mathilda had 49 by the end, but Mathilda was closer to knowing how many were in a record-breaking crowd at the derby and took 3rd. I won't mention that they could have taken 1st if they'd doubled in rounds 2 and/or 3...

Tonight's quiz was crazy! Failed and successful doubles scattered all over the place kept scores really close. Going into the final round, the lowest score was 33 and the highest was 39, meaning it all came down to the final round!
Even though Geralt failed a double in round 2 by getting one word wrong in a movie title, they immediately followed with a successful double in round 3. High scores in every other round, gave them the win!
Michelle's birthday party kept up solid scores all night long, taking 2nd place by a single point.
While the BOBs didn't take the top spot this time, they, too, followed a failed double in round 2 with a successful one in round 3, meaning it was only their failed double in round 1 that kept them out of the top spot. At least they scored 3rd, though!

Quiz kicked the game off with a successful double in round 1. Unfortunately, their attempt to double in round 2 met with failure. The BOBs were successful in rounds 2 and 3, though. Quiz and Peppers also successfully doubled in round 3.
Round 6 proved to be a heart-breaker for some, however, with 3 teams (Mathilda, Quiz, and Dude) earning perfect scores but failing to double. Charles and the Cockatoos, however, managed to successfully double in that round.
So, the BOBs clinched 1st place with their two doubles. The Cockatoos took 2nd with their double and a near-perfect (9/10) score in the final round. Quiz and Charles tied, but Quiz took 3rd place on the tie-breaker.
Meanwhile, Dude and Mathilda are probably kicking themselves for not doubling in the 2 rounds they had perfect scores...
