Tonight's quiz was a tough one for our players! The first sign of really breaking away from the pack came in our Guess What round when three teams (Cali's Crew, Matt Nadal, and Versus) got the 10 points.
Matt broke it wide open with a successful double in the Connection round, though. They took the win based primarily on their Guess and Connection rounds, although they had 7/9 in the final round as well.
The BOBs came in on the final round, successfully doubling on their knowledge of U.S. Presidents to swoop in and steal 2nd.
Versus rode their strong scores (plus that 10-point Guess!) all the way to finish 3rd. And they're threatening to add more "vs." to their team name...

The teams did a lot of jockeying for position in tonight's game. The first three rounds made it clear that it could be anyone's game.
In round 4, though, BOBs started their slide toward the bottom with an incorrect Guess Who. Quiz, on the other hand, got it at the 8-point level.
Round 5 really busted things open. "B" Team, GBD, Mathilda, and Quiz all scored successful doubles. BOBs picked up failed double #1. D&D and Stone both had near-perfect scores, but without the double, they were left behind.
In round 6, Stone tried for a double and failed while BOBs picked up failed double #2.
It was the final round that really destroyed some of the teams, however. Mathilda has a lot of knowledge under their belts, but they couldn't name a single Mortal Kombatant. The BOBs picked up failed double #3.
So Quiz rode their double and very high scores to the win. GBD came in right behind them, and the "B" Team a few more points behind.

The versus team now has the distinction of pulling out a win based on their near-encyclopedic knowledge of La Croix flavors. They successfully doubled in the final round to take the win!
