A photo-finish was how Wednesday's King Trivia extravaganza ended at 1739 Public House. A trio of thoroughbreds were neck-and-neck throughout the evening. It came down to the final round and team Bruce Jennertalia knew 2 more best-selling car brands of 2017. What drove them to victory? A great host, an amazing atmosphere and plenty of tasty, tasty beer.

Speaking of beer, the Penis is Mightier took won a round of drinks for their team by winning the tie-breaking question in round 5. Three teams finished the round with the same score, and it all came down to a ridiculous tie-breaking question... the Penis is Mightier held true to their name and in the end, came out ahead.

RECAP

The rain couldn't prevent what was a wild game of trivia tonight at public house, with newcomer "The Firetruck Outside Tho" taking home the big prize!

Bruce Jennertalia was in the lead all night, but the questions started going the right way for "Fear of Flying" and the firetruck team, as their great knowledge of Super Smash brothers led them to some successful double or nothings at the end of the night.

"Fear of flying" was also the only team to boldly for for the "who am I" question on the first clue, and they were rewarded with 10 points, and second place! They owe one to the Piano man, Billy Joel.

Thanks to everyone who gave me a warm welcome as the guest host, and were patient with me as I learned the lay of the land.

RECAP

What a game we had tonight! Perhaps it'll be most remembered for a couple of rounds that were extremely difficult (rounds 5 & 7) & it stopped a lot of teams in their tracks. Let's get into it!

This is already going poorly tricked us all with their name & do very well! They grab a double in round 2 &, despite only picking up 3 in the last round, finish in 3rd, taking the bronze!

Trey Dongz find themselves in the top ranks once again & had a great game, which included a double in round 2 & the only good score in round 5. There good performance for before bought them some insurance as they only get 4 to finish the game. They end up in the same spot they were for the entire game, never falling from 2nd. They take the silver!

Fear of Flying did it again! Their 2 successful doubles in a row to start the game threw them into 1st & they never fell from there the entire game! The cherry on top for them was their incredible last round that no other team did well in, where they scored 9! They finish in 1st, take the gold, & are now the 2 week reigning champs!
