RECAP
We had an interesting one tonight with a great mix of difficult & easier rounds. Some well placed successful doubles made all the difference for our winners as they navigated their way through this well balanced game.
Veggie Scrambles played fairly conservative in a good way tonight as they knew when to not take chances. Their only perfect round was in round 3 when they successfully doubled which threw them into the group of front runners where they would stay, staying in pace with two 9 point rounds in 5 & 6. They glide into 3rd, taking the bronze!
Fear of Flying were playing the way they usually do, skillfully & calmly until they hit a bump in the road with a -1 in round 4. It didn't faze them as they made a brilliant recovery with a perfect round & a successful double, which had them tied at 2nd. They win the duel with the highest score in the last round & take the silver!
Bruce Jennertalia started the game off with a double & that was a great indication of how they were going to play tonight as they doubled nearly every other round. To top that off, they get the full 10 points in round 4 & have a perfect round in round 6, where there was no need to double because they were already miles ahead of the competition. They stroll past the finish line in 1st, take the gold, & are now the 3 week reigning champs!

What a game we had tonight! Doubles abounded as we had some of the highest scores I've ever seen & there were a ton of shakeups including a HUGE one in the last round! Let's get into it!
The Number of Homeless Dudes Sean Has Blown Is... had an exceptional start with 2 successful doubles in a row. They throw in a 3rd double in round 3 for good measure & end the game with a excellent score of 77, which would be enough to win most games, but not tonight as there were 2 other teams that had their best performances to date! The Number of Homeless Dudes Sean Has Blown Is... finish in 3rd, taking the bronze!
Fear of Flying doubled in exactly the same rounds that The Number of Homeless Dudes Sean Has Blown Is..., the only difference is that they only missed one question the only game, making this their best game that I've ever witnessed! Unfortunately for them, they were not confident enough in their answers & even though they got perfect scores in rounds 6 & 7, they lost the lead in the last round because another team decided it was chance taking time. Fear of Flying finish in 2nd with a magnificent score of 86, taking the silver!
Bruce Jennertalia started the game off with a perfect round & this would be the last perfect round that they didn't double as they showed us a textbook example of aggressive play for the rest of the game! Their 2 doubles in a row in rounds 2 & 3 insured that they stayed in the front of the pack & they continued to stay there with a double in round 5. However, it would be the last 2 rounds that would prove to be the most crucial as they wisely don't double in round 6 as they miss 3 questions & then give in to their thirst for glory with an extremely aggressive double in the last round & they hit the jackpot with this gamble with the highest score I've ever seen, 94!!! They take the W, get the gold, & are now the 2 week reigning champs!

Their excellent score in the last round insured they finished in the top 3, but, unfortunately for them, not 2nd. They fall form 2nd for the 1st time in the entire game in the last round, finishing in 3rd & taking the bronze!
HavinABlastCrisis had 2 doubles as well, but unlike The Number of Homeless Dudes Sean Has Blown Is..., they doubled in the last round instead of the 1st (which they could've doubled in as well with their perfect round 1 score). They chose their time to pounce perfectly as they leap ahead of The Number of Homeless Dudes Sean Has Blown Is... by 1 point with an incredible double (the only team to double in the last round)! They take 2nd, earning the silver!
Bruce Jennertalia had another amazing showing tonight, only missing 2 questions in total! Despite their 2 successful doubles & 2 perfect rounds, they still found themselves barely clinging on to the lead in after round 5. They held steady however & wisely did not attempt a double. Their 2 impressive last rounds (both with a score of 9) secure their victory & they take the gold, becoming the champions of the night!
