The Pub at Golden Road is a full-service, family-friendly environment located just a stone’s throw from Griffith Park in Atwater Village. Open 7 days a week, The Pub offers ample indoor and outdoor seating, over a dozen Golden Road beers on tap, and games for the young (and young at heart).
It almost goes without saying that King Trivia quizinators are a unique and wonderful bunch of bananas. I mean, they're generally smarter than most people. They are, without a doubt, better looking than most people. And - in an odd and not-well-understood phenomenon that we're currently researching - they smell better than most people. In fact, the only people who are smarter, better looking and better smelling than KT quizinators are KT quizmasters - but I digress.
One sure indicator of the overall perspicacity of our beloved fanbase is how an item in the news early in the day will show up in a team's name later than evening. (Another indicator might be that they know the definition of words like "perspicacity." But again - I digress.)
My point is that our people are culturally aware and stand ever-ready to skewer the latest doings of the wealthy and powerful. Did I say "stand ready?" Actually, it's more like "eager." Yup. You know it's true! You people are downright eager to make fun of anyone and anything of note in the news. And we applaud you for it! That's just one of the many, many things we love about you!
So it was with much glee and delight that we enjoyed last night's contribution to our growing list of excellent pop-culture-referencing team names: "Legitimate USC Sports Recruits."

It was a big night for Gratuitous Sax and Endless Violins at our weekly trivia quiz at Golden Road Brewery in Glendale. The Saxers broke strong out of the gate with a successful double, and maintained their lead through all seven rounds to finish with 97 points and first place glory!
Smack My Brad Up certainly gave 'em a run for the (prize) money with an excellent performance that resulted in a one-point edge and second place finish over the always formidable Garbagetown, who finished in third.
As a matter of fact, they finished in third with a slim one-point advantage over my favorite team name of the night, Betty White Priviledge, who took the much coveted fourth place spot.
(Okay, fourth place is not "much coveted." We all know I just said that to make the Betty White krewe feel better about missing the prize pool by one stinkin' point!) You ROCK, Betty!!
