The Pub at Golden Road is a full-service, family-friendly environment located just a stone’s throw from Griffith Park in Atwater Village. Open 7 days a week, The Pub offers ample indoor and outdoor seating, over a dozen Golden Road beers on tap, and games for the young (and young at heart).

It never rains in California, but girl, don't they warn ya?
It pours, man, it pours
Torrential rains in the Southland flooded out the official trivia competition area at Golden Road this week (aka the side yard), so we moved the game up to the warm and cozy upper seating area -- and packed the place full!
Unfazed by the move, our stalwart quizinators engaged in pitched battle, with The Donner Party Train emerging victorious by just one point! ONE POINT!
Trashley Wards came in a close second. How close? ONE POINT!! Just one point! Slackers!!
The Family Julesies rounded out our top three finishers, with a fine effort at 76 points.
Now, you might ask, why do I declare The Julesies' 76 points to be "a fine effort," while labelling Trashley Wards as slackers for their 86-point effort!? Why? Why, you ask? Well, I'm, capricious...and unpredictable. Much like the weather (and recap commentary) in Southern California.

What a way to ring in the New Year at Golden Road on Tuesday! 13 teams came out to show that their resolutions were to stomp the competition. In the end it was The Bad Explainers who dominated the other players, with Trashley Wards not too terribly far behind. Sister Act 2: The Mysterious Island handily took the drinking round by being able to guess the songs about years. Congratulations to all the teams and happy new year!

We made a lot of new friends this week at Golden Road Brewery in Glendale, with many new faces in the official trivia quiz arena (aka the sideyard) checking out King Trivia for the first time.
Trashley Wards won the night with a nifty score of 80, with Pretty But Dumb demonstrating that their team name was half wrong by coming in second. (Seems pretty smart to me) and The Bad Explainers joining the top three - as usual.
It has been a great year for King Trivia at Golden Road, and we’re looking forward to seeing you all when 2018 comes rushing in next week.
