Now this is a story all about how this trivia game got through like 7 rounds, and I'd like to take a moment, just sit there and hold, and I'll tell you how Schlemiel Schlimazel won the night at Golden Road.
Now the game didn't move to the beat of just one drum. What questions were easy to you, might not have been easy to some. The drinking round was about the Simpsons, and Jeremy Beremy Baby won. Everybody's got a special kind of knowledge. Everybody found a way to shine! It didn't matter that a few teams' points were not a lot-- so what? They had fun, and they had beer, and they had wine! And in the end, they felt fine!
Thank you for being a trivia contestant! Traveled to Golden Road, and back again! Your game was good! You're a competitor that's confident. And when you thought you were smarty-- you told everyone you knew. And you did see, that hard studying was the key, and the hardest part was the round at the ennnnnnnnd.
And those are the facts of this trivia game.

ADJECTIVE
making or constituting a loud, celebrative noise.
Well, we certainly had a bit of raucous energy going on this week at Golden Road Brewer in Glendale, where no fewer than 22 teams gathered on a delightfully chilly winter night* to warm things up by engaging in heated trivia battle.
Garbagetown took the crown with a robust 71 points, which represented a one-point margin of victory over Exit Sandman (70) and just four points better than If Beale Street Could Trivia (67).
Perhaps best of all, Mark Royer and his friends chose to celebrate his birthday with a raucous round of revelry and trivia excitement. Happy birthday, Mark. We certainly hope you had a grand night.
See y'all next week, on what will almost certainly be a delightful evening on the sideyard patio, where trivia quizinators from near and far gather to test themselves against the best, via the best, most funnest trivia quiz in all the land. See ya next week!
* when we say "delightfully chilly night," what we really mean is "delightfully chilly SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA night." The overnight low in Chicago last night was 12 degrees! Hah! We LOVE California!
And I wonder...
Still I wonder...
Who'll stop the rain?
- John Fogerty
On the other hand, who's afraid of a little rain, eh!? Not the good, stalwart, intrepid quizzers that turned out this week at Golden Road Brewery in Glendale.
The sideyard patio, with its retractable walls and excellent heaters, was a roasty, toasty, cozy environment that saw The Bad Explainers emerge at the head of the pack with an excellent score of 75, followed (just two points behind) by a tie between Hamberder Partrol and Lando Caltrivians with 73.
The tie-breaker question -- What is the word count of Charles Dickens' novel Great Expectations? -- settled the matter in Hamberder's favor, but everyone in attendance were winners in our book, overcoming rain and cold and dark of night, to engage in our festival of trivia fun.
Let's do it again next week, eh? See ya then!
