In addition to the usual fun and frivolity - capped by an exciting tie-breaker at the end of the quiz - at Golden Road Brewery in Glendale this week, Baby at a Bar won the Drinking Round!
So, in addition to the free beer for the grownups, a cup of delicious ginger ale was brought for the baby, who was at the bar, cheering on his parents. (He wasn't, really cheering. He was sleeping, and pooping his pants. Because, you know, he's a baby!)
See ya next week.
* Won Tiebreaker
The competition at the top of the scorecard was INTENSE this week at Golden Road Brewery in Glendale!
Beginning with Round 3, Harriett and the Spies, The Bad Explainers, and Why, Roseanne? WHY!? matched each other answer-for-answer, round after round right to the end!
Well, almost to the end. In all the excitement, your humble quizmaster credited Why, Roseanne? with a successful double (and 20 points) in Round 6. They answered the matchup round perfectly, but had not checked the double box for that round.
When the scores were announced, the Roseanne folks pointed out the error to the chagrined quizmaster, who was (and remains) deeply impressed by their forthrightness and honesty.
So while Harriett and her Spies won the night, Why, Roseanne, Why? won our heartfelt admiration. The TEAM Roseanne, that is. Wanna be clear about that. Media personality Roseanne? Not so much.
See ya next week, friends.

* Won Tiebreaker
Didn't think I could do it, didja?
Thought you were pretty clever, dinja!?!
Yes, it's true. When you pick your team name, we encourage you to be clever; unique; unpredictable. We tell you that you can call yourselves anything you want. (Within reason). I mean, sure, if you wanna be Workin' the Gerkin, it's okay with us. If you want to declare that you're Holden M'Groin, okay! Have at it.
And if you want to challenge your quizmaster by calling yourselves Chief Cheap Sheep Cheese Officer, well, you just go right ahead and do it! Because (with a little practice between rounds) your tongue twisting moniker was no harder to pronounce than "bob"!
(actually, that's not true. It drove me nuts all night, and I had restless dreams about the many ways you can mangle Chief Cheap Sheep Cheese Officer. But don't tell them that! I don't wanna give 'em the satisfaction!)
See y'all next week.
