The Pub at Golden Road is a full-service, family-friendly environment located just a stone’s throw from Griffith Park in Atwater Village. Open 7 days a week, The Pub offers ample indoor and outdoor seating, over a dozen Golden Road beers on tap, and games for the young (and young at heart).
Now THIS was our kind of game! Digital Killed the Video Store took the early (Round 1) lead, only to be supplanted by I Gave Warren Beatty The Wrong Envelope in Round 2.
Things were looking good for IGWBTWE for the next two rounds, despite stiff competition from Passion in my Pantaloons - who trailed by just one point after Round 3 - and Salty Ostrich - who pulled to within 4 points after Round 4.
But the Beattys stumbled in Round 5, giving an opening to the Salties and Where's Dave, who took over the #1 and #2 positions, and held on to WIN and PLACE at the end.
A well-fought quiz on everyone's part, and we'll do it all again next Tuesday night. See ya then!!

The three-person team calling themselves Rivergate (photo #6 above) had never participated in a King Trivia event before last night. Indeed, they were just hungry. But in the immortal words of Julius Caesar, "Veni, vidi, vici!"*
B.J. Mousekewitz ("veni, vidi, mus!"**) and Bogtrotters ("veni, vidi, trottus!"***) rounded out our top three teams last night.
