The Pub at Golden Road is a full-service, family-friendly environment located just a stone’s throw from Griffith Park in Atwater Village. Open 7 days a week, The Pub offers ample indoor and outdoor seating, over a dozen Golden Road beers on tap, and games for the young (and young at heart).
Things that you have to do in your life:
1) See the Grand Canyon
2) See the Northern Lights
3) See King Trivia at Golden Road
I finally got to hit number 3 off my list. It was a great night out at Golden Road. If you haven't had the chance to try their beer, do it. If you haven't had the chance to see their flagship taproom, do it. If you haven't played trivia at Golden Road, do it.
The competition is fierce, the strategy bold, and the rewards impressive. There was constant fluctuation in the leaderboard as teams risked it all and won, or the stayed at the same score.
Regardless, all of the teams from Tuesday night are my favorite. They're like my children that I've only seen once. You love them because you only have to see them once in a while. Shout out to the wonderful folks at Golden Road, especially RJ for taking care of everything from behind the patio bar.
Come join the lovefest next week!

Just a few months ago, Golden Road Brewery invited King Trivia to launch a weekly quiz in their extended patio area. Well, it didn't take long for word to get out, and we quickly outgrew the front patio.
The great folks at Golden Road opted to dedicate the larger (and quite wonderful) side patio area to our weekly quiz, and we've really been enjoying our more capacious space. There's a delightful communal feeling to the picnic tables, games and photo booth options available to distract and delight King Trivia's regulars and newcomers. And, needless to say, the space is just perfect for our weekly contest of wits and knowledge.

Tough night for the usually formidable DJ Roomba this week. Nicest people you'd ever wanna meet (three of the roombas are featured in photos #2 and #3 above) got stung on the unsuccessful double not once; not twice but three times during our quiz.
That's gotta hurt. But what's even worse was that their beautiful doogie companion (photo #9) told me later that he knew the correct answers but his humans wouldn't listen to him!
Best original team name of the night goes to Putin Went to Jared! because, I mean...yeah!! They also took third place. Kudos.
Reliable regulars The Bad Explainers and #squadgoals led the pack, as they so often do, and we're already looking forward to next week's quiz on the patio. Hope to see you there!
