Wowwy wow wow wow! Wednesday night at Pickwick's Pub was probably the busiest I've ever seen it for King Trivia this week! Players stuffed from their holiday meals and enjoying their holiday time off stuffed the bar for 7 rounds of awesomeness!
For the drinking round, teams had to send one player each to compete in a game where each player had a balloon tied to one end of a string, with the other end tied to each player's leg. On "go" each person had to try and stomp on the balloon of their opponents to try and pop it. The object of the game was to be the last person with an inflated balloon at the end. Winning the drinking round was team 1 + 1 = 2! Way to go ladies!!
For third place, two teams tied with 46 points, prompting a tie breaker question. The Mighty Mighty Puffins, having an uncharacteristically low scoring night, and team Hear Me Roar both sent up a representative to face off against each other. They had to try and guess how many feet does the roller coaster Goliath at Magic Mountain drop on its first plunge. Guessing the closest to the correct answer were the Mighty Mighty Puffins, who managed to stay in the winner's circle and won the $10 gift certificate.
Coming in second place and scoring 54 points were the Knights Who Say Ni! They showed up for trivia ready to go with their Knights Who Say Ni matching T-shirts on! Congrats on taking home the 2nd place gift certificate of $20!!
And last but certainly not least, coming in 1st place with 70 points, and another strong showing two weeks in a row was team Ricky Ticky Bobby Wobbin! With the help of two successful double or nothing rounds, in round 3 and round 6, they easily soared ahead of the competition! Congrats guys!

QUIZ RECAP
Ho ho ho! What a busy pre-Christmas King Trivia at Pickwick's Pub in Woodland Hills on Wednesday night! 18 teams packed both rooms of the bar eager to answer questions and win prizes! And that they did!
For the drinking round, I asked each team to send up the best artist from their team. Once every representative had come up to the table, I gave them each a paper plate. When I said, "Go!" each team had about 3 minutes to draw their best Santa Claus. Butttttt, they had to draw the Santa Claus on the plate, and the plate had to be on their heads! With the most recognizable Santa, thanks to a very detailed beard and recognizable facial features and hat, Hanky Panky won the shots in the Drinking Round! Way to go you two! See the pictures above for the different Santas drawn by some of the teams!
Coming in 3rd place and scoring 75 points, were the Knights Who Say Ni! They led most of the night, but because they didn't double down on round 5, they fell behind two other teams that were just behind them, and finished that way as well. But congrats on winning a $10 gift certificate you guys! Thanks for playing and see you next week!
In second place, also close to the lead most of the night, and usually in the top three every week, were the Mighty Mighty Puffins. They lost out on first place because although they were in the lead heading into the final round, only got 8 of the 10 right for round 7 while another team got them all correct and doubled down to take the lead from the Puffins. They scored a whopping 85 points to score the 2nd place prize.
The team that successfully doubled on the final round were also strong all night long, and were in second place heading into Round Number 7. But they secured their lead and the first place gift certificate with a whopping 90 points! Way to go Ricky Ticky Bobby Wobbin!

QUIZ RECAP
Another fun night Wednesday night or as I liked to call it Star Wars: The Last Jedi Eve! 50 players packed Pickwick's Pub in Woodland Hills for some more King Trivia.
For the drinking round, teams had to identify the Disney movie villains and the Disney movie by hearing little excerpts of their voices. The Mighty Mighty Puffins straight killed it and got 19 out of 20 correct!
Oh did I mention that they also took home first place as well? They only had 4 members this time, but they combined for 68 points and took home the $30 gift certificate.
In second place, Alternative Facts scored 56 points with help of a successful double or nothing in round 5 which put them ahead of everyone except the Mighty Mighty Puffins.
In third place, Dog Mamas and Papas scored 45 points and they have the final round to thank for taking home the $10 gift certificate. They were in 5th place heading into the final round but scored more points than any other team to get there! Nice comeback Dog Mamas and Papas!
