About The Famous Bar

The Famous craft cocktail lounge is located in Glendale's historic Huntley-Evans building, directly across the street from the Americana at Brand. It follows an eclectic and rich pedigree of establishments that have called this building home in the last century, most notably the early Glendale landmark, The Famous Department Store. The Famous, true to its heritage, embraces the classic art of fine craft cocktail creation, invented in the United States in 1856, using bitters, juices, syrups, and infusions, prepared in-house using fresh ingredients from local markets and growers. Cocktails served at The Famous are identical to those served nearly 100 years ago when the building was constructed.

It was a good night for Mitch McGonagall this week at The Famous on Brand in Glendale. MM squeaked out a one-point win over Let's Get Quizzical, who took the news with class - groaning and laughing and bemoaning the missed opportunities that would have provided another point or two.

This week's session of King Trivia had it all: heartache and euphoria, pathos and Athos and Aramis. No, wait! There were no Musketeers. There were no Disney Dwarfs or Laker girls. But there were dozens of the finest quizinators you'll find anywhere, battling once again for trivia glory!

And we'll do it all again next week. Will Mitch McGonagall return to defend their title? Or will Slytherin slither in? Will The Bad News Barristers once again shine in the winner's circle?
