About The Famous Bar

The Famous craft cocktail lounge is located in Glendale's historic Huntley-Evans building, directly across the street from the Americana at Brand. It follows an eclectic and rich pedigree of establishments that have called this building home in the last century, most notably the early Glendale landmark, The Famous Department Store. The Famous, true to its heritage, embraces the classic art of fine craft cocktail creation, invented in the United States in 1856, using bitters, juices, syrups, and infusions, prepared in-house using fresh ingredients from local markets and growers. Cocktails served at The Famous are identical to those served nearly 100 years ago when the building was constructed.

Whenever I get to cover another host's regular event, I'm never sure what to expect, but I continue to be amazed (and very thankful), that everyone is usually really enthusiastic and helpful! The players at the Famous were no different, helping me learn the little quirks of the bar as well as important info like when they're used to doing the drinking round, which made my job 100000% easier!

So, thank you to everyone and congratulations to The Blanches for the big big trivia win, as well as Electric Moustache for the strong 2nd place finish and the Drinking Round Bonus! Well done to Bad News Barristers as well, who held on to finish 3rd place. Thanks everyone and hopefully I'll see you again somewhere soon!

What a battle between the formidable crew of Because Jeopardy Won't Let Us Drink and Yasss Queens this week at The Famous on Brand in Glendale.

One point! When the dust settled, it all came down to a single point, with the Jeopardy crew edging out the Yasss Queens to win the night.

Or, to put it another way, you could say that the Jeopardy crew said NO! to the Yasss Queens! Yeah, that's what you could say!
