About The Famous Bar

The Famous craft cocktail lounge is located in Glendale's historic Huntley-Evans building, directly across the street from the Americana at Brand. It follows an eclectic and rich pedigree of establishments that have called this building home in the last century, most notably the early Glendale landmark, The Famous Department Store. The Famous, true to its heritage, embraces the classic art of fine craft cocktail creation, invented in the United States in 1856, using bitters, juices, syrups, and infusions, prepared in-house using fresh ingredients from local markets and growers. Cocktails served at The Famous are identical to those served nearly 100 years ago when the building was constructed.

Terrific session of King Trivia this week at The Famous in Glendale. It was great to see our friends Ace Tomato Company visiting from Toluca Lake, and once again the formidable quartet of Because Jeopardy Won't Let Us Drink demonstrated just how formidable they are by winning the night.

BJWLUD are currently ranked at #23 in our League Play, which is important because tickets are now on sale for the big Tournament of Champions set to take place January 20th, 2018. Get your seats while you still can! Tickets are going fast!

Those rougish rascals of Six Team & Pregnant (that's them in photo #3) won the night with a strong performance and a finishing score of 81! Ya wanna see what smug, cocky winning looks like? Check out photo 3.

Or, come to think of it, photo #1 is a pretty good example of what cocky, smug, damn-we're-good winning looks like. That's our 2nd place winning team Electric Moustache right there. As you can see, they're pretty happy with their 79-point finish.

Wow! What a night at The Famous On Brand in Glendale! The house was rockin' in celebration as the Dodgers slugged their way past the Cubs and into their first World Series appearance in 29 years. Seemed like everyone was a Dodgers fan last night.

Ya know who else had a good night? Electric Moustache, who blew past their competition like a Clayton Kershaw fastball to win the night with a strong 58 points! Caribbean Heat came in second with 49, and two of our favorite regulars, The Bad News Barristers and The Barrelers, finished in a tie with 46 points apiece.

The Barristers broke the tie with a high-calorie count dessert while, at the other end of the spectrum, Bippity Boppity Boobies whiffed in the end with unsuccessful double-or-nothing attempts in the last three rounds. We admire your courage, BBB!
